What
Portion of Product Cost Is Attributed to Equipment Maintenance?
MaintSmart considers all costs associated with
owning and maintaining an equipment item. Notice the grid column headings
above. Time To Repair expense is the total cost of
maintenance labor attributed to an equipment breakdown. Impact to
Schedule is a cost associated with an equipment break down where
other scheduled personnel may be idled and the manufacturing schedule lengthens
because of an equipment failure. PM labor, work order labor, and spare
parts inventory used are other costs associated with equipment
maintenance. All of these expenses are allocated to a unique
equipment item at the time they are incurred. These expenses may be analyzed
and reported on at any time with almost no effort. MaintSmart does all the dirty work behind the
scenes for you!
Notice the Conversion Factors
box near the bottom
of the screen. Perhaps your company produces fasteners and you'd
like to know how much of the cost of each box of fasteners
is attributed to maintenance related expenses. No problem. MaintSmart lets you the user create your own conversion factors for
this very purpose.
MaintSmart provides the cost to own any equipment
item.
